​Since 2017, the Dog River Howlers have brought together over 440 men’s and women’s 7s players and more than 150 men’s 15s players from 11 Canadian provinces and territories and 20 countries, creating one of the most diverse rugby programs in Canada.

The Howlers have competed in 74 tournaments across 10 countries, including Canada, the USA, Mexico, Germany, Cuba, the Caribbean, and Central America—winning an impressive 29 tournaments along the way.

Led by 44 accomplished coaches from 10 countries, including seven national team coaches, the Howlers have built a culture of excellence both on and off the pitch.

The club made history as the first Canadian rugby team to tour Cuba, proudly competing against both the men’s and women’s Cuban national teams. The Howlers have also faced the national teams of Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Colombia, as well as the Germany U18 men’s team.

More than 70 Canadian capped players and 12 internationally capped players from nine countries have worn the Howlers jersey. Among them is Waisale Serevi of Fiji, widely considered the greatest 7s player of all time.
