The Dog River Howlers would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the people that supported their entry in the True Sport Community Give-Back Challenge. The Challenge generated over 1500 views of our video submission.
"This was a nice opportunity for the Howlers to showcase and share the work that we are doing in the community," said Karl Fix, Howlers founder and president. "Even more important is that the Challenge was a forum to shine a light on the great things about rugby and that, I feel, is very important to the sport of rugby in Canada. We do not always get positive press and this story will be a positive shot in the arm for rugby in Canada.
Winners will be announced on CBC’s broadcast of RBC Sports Day in Canada next Saturday November 29 – timing is always TBD because the broadcast is live, so we can’t say for sure what time – so be sure to tune in!
