4 Howlers - George Barton, Ben Scher (both 17 years old), Cole Keffer and Jackson McDonough who all part of the inaugural U-16 Howlers 7's side that played in the 2012 Heidelberg International Youth 7's in Germany played in a hard fought physical battle that Canada U-18 lost to Romania U-19 three penalty kicks to one (9-3).
Considering the age difference in this game , battling jet lag, limited training time together and the fact a that 6 days earlier Canada U-18 lost 31- 0 to Romania U-19( but beat Romania U-18 16-15 3 days later) there is a bright light shining at the end of the tunnel as many these young men move up to the U-20 age grade together.
