The ever colorful Rainbow RFC (made up of Rastafarians) form Trinidad and Tobago have entered (see their video below) the International Havana Howlers 7's Rugby Tournament on December 1 and 2 in Havana, Cuba
Howlers also announce addition to men's selections- Thomas Apponte from Venezuela

The Dog River Howlers Rugby Club have selected a very young team (average age 20) to defend their men's championship at the Havana Howlers Rugby Sevens held in Havana, Cuba on December 1 and 2, 2012. All players have represented their respective provinces (senior and/or junior and Thomas Aponte his country Venezuela) with Jordan Best, Liam Burke, Jered Douglas and Connor Hunter having played for Canada at the various under age levels. Howlers coach Shane Thompson who has most of these players said "I'm sure you will see some of these talented young players representing Canada in the near future in the IRB Sevens circuit and the 2016 Olympics."
The Havana Howlers Sevens is an IRB sanctioned tournament that will include national teams from Mexico, Cuba and Venezuela along with top select sides like the USA's Atlantis RFC and two select sides from Trinidad and Tobago - the Enthusiasts RFC and the Rainbow RFC who's members are Rastafarians (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqk5VOOIgSw ). There is also a women's division for which the Howlers will announce their squad in due course.
Further to the actual rugby the Howlers will also make their regular visit to a local orphanage which they over the years have supported.
The club's selections for their women's team competing in this international tournament will be announced shortly along those for both the men's and women's team travelling to the Tobago International Sevens on December 8 and 9.
